Michael Laper

Hello! My name is Michael Laper, and I am a recent graduate of San Diego State University, where I majored in television, film, and new media production. I chose to go into filmmaking because of the connection that I made with special people in my life through watching films. That connection evolved when I started making my own silly little cooking videos in hopes to connect with an audience and make them smile. I want to be able to create and contribute to content that has a meaningful connection for the audience, not only with the storyteller but with other special people in their life.

 

Throughout my time in college, I had the experience of working on many student films, where I got to experience all the pre-production, production, and post-production process within filmmaking. I was able to learn an in-depth understanding of the technical and communication-focused skills prioritized in the filmmaking industry. I am excited to use those skills to break into the industry and work towards my goal of helping to make films that audience members will have meaningful connections to.
